Look into noise ratings.
I bought a HF oiled compressor a few years ago.
Put Royal purple in it, which quieted it slightly and better shows the oil level in the sight glass.
I still need ear muffs and to stay 10ft away when running or the teeth fillings roll like dice.
Cant run it at night.
