Seahawk is correct on the resale part. I get pistols awarded from time to time by the courts in addition to fees on criminal cases.
Last one I sold to a gun shop the clerk literally looked up recent auctions on Gunbroker.com and offered me 70% of what he saw online. Math not being my strong suit, I had to ask him what that translated to in dollars.
All that said, I would be concerned about whether it is stolen before I would take it.
