The house cleaning extended to the front porch and storm door and front door. A large black spider that had made a huge cobweb and laid an "egg" or the little ball of silk for her babies. Had it been somewhere besides the front door it likely would have been left alone. My suggest of leaving it alone until Halloween was over was met with a simple NO.
So I was assigned the job of dispatching Mrs. spider and cleaning up the web. It was an impressive cob web. All gone now.
