Was talking to a patient yesterday, retired pilot. USAF, fixed wing and rotor, trained to fly H53's in ABQ with an instructor that was a Brit, Flight Commander, apparently equivalent to a Major. The guy was an instructor for the British Air Force, and happened to teach then Prince Charles to fly a helicopter. Flight Commander Mandrake, as good a name as any, tells this patient of mine that in the course of your flying career, you will meet maybe 4 or 5 natural pilots. People who you show them once, and they are better at it than you the first time they do it. Apparently Prince, now King Charles III, was a natural pilot and qualified to fly every aircraft the British Air Force had.
