I've been running the red versions of those for many years. They can kink, but are less likely to kink than the average green hose.
I generally go to whatever hardware store is closest and buy the best hose that they have. It's usually some sort of "commercial" hose made of natural rubber and with premium brass ends. I've gone with red at the new house and used red in the old house too. They work well and last. I think they are usually marked "kink-resistant".
That probably just means that they are "vanilla" until you get a few drinks in them.
