Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

These are Dubia Roaches. You can buy them at any pet/reptile stores. A much higher protein count than crickets for the folks that feed them to reptiles and other critters. Our small hotel is more an experiment. This all started out from left over ones from our lizards. We lost them earlier in the year and figured, why not. We have had folks already reach out to get some from us if it takes off. They can not fly, even though they have wings.

Female dubia, you can tell by the flatter wider body and short stubby wings

Male has a more slender body with full length wings. Non-flyer

End result is a buttload of these lil guys. The ration I am being told is 8 females to 1 male.
