Brief story about my "God Brother" (My Mum baptized him): He met a local Aussie girl and got married young. They tried to have children but it never worked out for them. At about the ten year mark his wife had an affair with someone she worked with so they get divorced and she got awarded half of everything they had (He sold a property and stuff then payed her $750,000).
A few years later my "GB" meets a very nice Chinese lady who was studying in Australia. Soon after they're pregnant and she moves into his house. Everything goes really well and they soon have a second child. Her parents who are retired come for a visit from Mainland China. One evening we were all sitting at the dinning room table eating take out Pizza. Her parents were there and they didn't speak a word of English but you could tell they were absolutely chuffed with their two grand sons.  |
My riding buddy whom I have known for 20 years married a Chinese Vietnamese girl from Vietnam. She was a refugee from the war, came over when she was about 5. He came from a wealthy family, commons were made about her and took them a very long time to call her one of their own. Hell, when you speak to her, she has no accent, teaches grade school for a living. A typical American girl if you ask me just doesn't have pale pink skin. Until grand kids came along then they were ok with them.
