Its kinda funny that the "purists" dis the guy for putting a V8 in a 911 but nobody screams at all the "Bastard Porsches" out there.
Is it OK to create a freak one of a kind Porsche as long as you use Porsche parts? I personally like things as close to stock as possible. Concours is not easy. My lowly plain coupe is plenty of fun to drive. I don't take it to the track and I don't win stop light races with Vettes (nor do I want to try). I bought my car because I like it and IT MAKES ME HAPPY. Isn't that what a P-car is all about? Pride of ownership and enjoyment of a fine ride.
