It was a very careful cut. I let the cutting disk just get through the plastic. In reality I had no choice, it was a crappy paperweight as it was so I did not have much to lose. Then a through blow out with an airgun and back to reassembly.
The most frustrating part of it all was getting the CPU cooler back on. It is a teeter totter contraption that will fall out of position if I tilted it at all. Getting the think right on top of the CPU, and then getting the one side hooked on the clamp, then not wiggle anything, and flip down the clamp to hold it is place took an hour and lots of cussing. It is a total Rube Goldberg, mousetrap that would have made Rube jealous he never thought of it.
