I have slightly zinged reverse twice coming out of 5th and thus do that more slowly now. 3rd to 4th seems fine, I just carefully pull it straight back. I opted for the extension and it puts the knob right where I want it. Muscle memory is important to develop here since the shifter changes the feel so much. Nice unit but for the fiddly lockout.
