I personally think anyone that owns a dog and it attacks and kills another person they need to be held criminally responsible . And the dog put down . And I am a dog person and have been my entire life .

In this particular case yes the parents will be in pain the rest of their lives knowing their pets killed their children . But I don't think that is punishment enough. . Your stupidity led to the deaths of your children. There are no excuses , you failed as a parent .
