They are expensive and weigh about 50% of a common steel car hauler. I guess it depends on how badly you want to drop 1000# of tare weight. My brother has a nice older steel car hauler he got for around $2k used. I have been looking for a lightweight aluminum featherweight, trailer or other but if they come up for sale, the seller wants $8k plus. Just too precious for my blood but if one came along for $4k I would probably buy it.
