That is horrible. I just can't imagine two lives completely and utterly overturned in the blink of an eye because of a pet dog.
I have a pit story that I don't tell because it takes too long. Ultimately it ended fine, but when I read these anecdotes I get a case of the creeps that lasts and lasts because of how wrong it could have gone - as illustrated here.
