We recently bought a Whirlpool top loader. One of the new "high efficiency " ones. Totally sucks balls. Uses less water, but takes twice as long and doesn't clean the clothes well. Sometimes have to run through another cycle.
Not even close to the 20yo Kemore we had to part with.

Nothing good deed goes unpunished. I feel the same way about our new top loader also. We bought the largest capacity one thinking it will clean well with a smaller load. Nope, it senses the amount of clothing and WILL NOT allow more fooking water into the unit. It looks like its bearly enough water to sock the dirty clothes. The damn thing is locked up unlike older units where you can add clothes or detergent
