That was one of the things I read about as a negative and wondered if that could be an issue. I guessed that if you are in close range mortal combat, things like ear and eye protection take a back seat to survival.
The CAR stance is
perfect for self defense when the attacker is in close. You are less susceptible of having your weapon pushed away or taken away from you and at such a short distance you won't need 25 yard accuracy. It isn't for target shooting. I would say that most shooters are recreational target practice fans rather than seriously training for actual self defense. Everything changes when the target is moving erratically and is shooting back at you!
