One thing our guy did was do it right the first time. He was very careful, and a real pro that cared about his craftsmanship. He was the company owner, and it was not his first rodeo.

When Mrs. Carrera decided to replace the ugly steel front door the builder used, she picked out the solid core door and the lumber yard recommended a guy to install it. He was really cool to watch. The first thing out of the box was the instructions, which he threw away instantly.

He measured everything twice, and removed the old door and frame, and put in the new one just step by step, and not once did he go back and do something differently or wrong. He drilled the door knob hole and the deadbolt hole and after installation closed the door and it just clicked right into place. 10 years later it is still perfect, and the door closed like a TV commercial. Just click, and done. He cleaned up everything and hauled away the old door and frame and the trash. Very professional.

Our wood floor installation was done by a team of monkeys. Very poor workmanship, we made them send out a good installer to fix a lot of issues. They butchered the wall trim with a really dull blade. It is just "OK" now but not done like it should have been.
