The best one is the one you have in your hand and can immediately stop a threat with. A shotgun wins for most. Let's be honest... most of us aren't going to train like some folks advocate here.... they just aren't.... for better or worse.... it's a fact. I've been shooting casually for 55 years .... At 9 I could have stopped a threat with a single shot 12 ga loaded with #8....
I've probably shot my 870 less than 20 times since I bought it used for around $350 a few years ago. It holds 3 00 shells, and I can shoot
. Any intruder who disregards the racking noise will pay dearly....
Same with my .45 ACP or Marlin lever .357 ....
For me .... Practicing with my heavy M27 (.357) is simply not enjoyable or cheap and is just not gonna happpen on a regular basis.
Most don't get a PPI on their 911s either although that's good advice.... but let's be real.
My dawg is always loaded and better than ANY spoon fwiw ....unless a tennis ball appears.
