I've pretty much had to mod the PMO cross bar mounts on every install. First time I ran into the need to do that, I called Richard Parr to explain the problem and thought maybe there were different mounts for different years....but he basically told me to "just slot the mounting holes".......which I did. But like you, I was a little surprised that it was required. That being said, although it was a small PITA....it was one of the easier mods I've had to do when installing EFI.
