I recently wore out my Sonicare and got a new one. The old one didn't have a timer, the new one does. Battery lasts a lot longer with the new one. I used to charge the old one @once a week, now I can go almost two whole weeks between charges. I really miss using it when it's on the charge cycle as I can't brush like I used to, the muscle memory is shot for that motion. I turn off the water when brushing. Never used to keep it on even when manually brushing.
