I was not trying to get the brightest headlight possible to blind every oncoming vehicle. I was OK with the halogen sealed beams for the last 27 years. I replaced them only because one seal failed.
I sure don't want some headlight that requires a cooling fan and complicated wiring. This was plug and play, done. It is certainly brighter than the old halogen bulbs. And the current draw will be far less to boot, compared to the halogens that came out.
