I took this photo a few minutes ago. The mean ol boss sent me out to slave away in the front garden under his wife's directions. The decorative fountain had to be drained, and come apart for winter. Suck up the old nasty water and green alga and clean it up, take the 700 pound statue off the pedestal and water reservoir and pull the pump, and cover it all in plastic and tied with bungee cords to hold it tight. That keeps the water out and no freeze damage is possible with no water.
I might have exaggerated a tiny bit about the weight of the statue, my mom told me a million time to not exaggerate. It might be closer to 70 to 90 pounds.
That is done. I was putting the hose away, and saw the purple flower bush just covered in honey bees. That is just one bush. I bet there were 50 bees or more. The fountain is on the other side of that flower bed. They will not have much longer to feed before the first frost stops the flowers.
