Stay in the mountains, and once you acclimate to the (lack of) humidity it's wonderful, climatically at least. Maybe one week of 90+F last summer here in LA, but you had to deal with excruciating 15-20%RH (oy, so muggy!). On my once/twice per month visits to DC I was shocked, in July/August, that humans could life like that in the swamp. Those are just inhumane conditions...
However, in April, I've seen 1% humidity reported here. And with 40mph wind, that's serious chapped-eyeball and bleeding-lips conditions.
