If you enjoy history everywhere you look, room temp beer and some strange food preparation I strongly urge you to take some time in England. I've been there many times and never had a bad visit. As for Ireland I had never seen so many shades of green before. The villages were better than the city. The people laugh easily and were very welcoming if you are not an ugly American. That last bit is easy.
