Well maybe if you'd quit hitting on violinists and start scoping out some seamstresses you wouldn't be in this predicament! 
My Wife has a Brother LX3817 it does what she needs it to do and more. She's not into sewing, more of a knitter so she doesn't use it much.
Now my Son, he's in the 501st (Star Wars nerds) and he has used to make parts of his "Tie Pilot" uniform and loves it.
