I use all my cards and always pay them off when due.

I also pay cash for stuff.

Never write checks. Never use a debit card.

Pay all bills online.

I have 2 credit cards I use several times a year just so they don't get cancelled.

The other 2 I use every month. One is tied into my Amazon account. The other I use for gas and misc. They are both cash back cards.

At the end of the day I am still subject to whatever the card companies want to do.

I like having them just in case. You never know when you may need them.
