Maybe I should have just shut up. And you and Mrs Steve would have been OK. They are very popular around here. But I did have REALLY bad luck with mine. I've bought half a dozen over the years and they have got steadily more unreliable. However, some peoples ones have been fine.
The second to last time it crapped out I had been doing electrical work and turning the power off and on at the breaker/fuse board multiple times. I forgot to turn the dishwasher off at the wall. this was enough to kill the main computer ($300 repair.)
