I still do 40 push ups and 40 situps most mornings which is what the Army PT test required in Army basic training back in the mid 80's. I am 56 now. When I got my boat several years ago, I got on the scale and looked in the mirror... not good so I got on my morning pushup/situp/dieting kick. When I started doing them, I was shocked that I could only do about 25 of each (I assumed I could always knock out the old 40/40).... Took me about a month or two to get back up to my 40/40. I don't intend to let myself go again.
