That nasty carcinogenic copper green works great but stinks for quite awhile. For a table top you'd want to put a glass top on it as you don't want to have any skin contact. You can purchase pressure treated plywood but once it's cut the edges are exposed. Regular exterior ply will hold up ok if it's covered, it's just plywood that uses water proof glue for the lamination.
