I sealed some of this Cedar with this finish you can get at Home Depot. The Cedar is fine by itself outside but I wanted a cleanable surface that hopefully keeps the wood from turning grey. I treated these counters and that table with this stuff last year so the jury is still out. Water still beads right up on it but I don't know how long it will last yet.
