I love that era of Rolls. I keep thinking someday... The cool thing up here in Washington is that, at its age, it no longer has to pass smog, either visually or mechanically. Actually, nothing does anymore. Makes them much less daunting.

Hey Jeff, it turned out that I had a bad set of points that was shorting out somehow, (IIRC), I put new ones in and everything worked as it was supposed to with the test light. I timed it with the static method and when I got a chance to put a strobe on it, it was dead nutz!!
No smog on 1975 and older cars down here as well. The challenge would be degraded wiring, miles of vacuum lines and weird servos and switches everywhere under the hood.
