Fresh outta school I worked at Research Triangle Park.... back then it had the highest concentration of advanced degrees of anywhere in the world..... and no one gave a crap about 'em
. Some of the best older EEs didn't even have a college degeee ... apptitude and OJT back then. All the youngins were gifted cream of the crop and fresh outta school.
EEs and MEs were a dime-a-dozen, many with MBAs throughout my IT career.... no one asked, cared, or even gave a damn.... you either had "IT" or you didn't.... a couple of the best I ever worked with were gifted.... and never attended college.
