Good info from John Walker. I've heard of people having this issue though. I wonder how they managed to do it?

To Tea Tray's comment, if there were a true blockage after the pump, massive pressure would build since there isn't a relief valve in the scavenge side of the system. I've heard of blown oil lines and coolers. And you don't have that hear.

Random question - was the oil pickup tube in place when you examined the sump screen? (It would be odd for it to not be, but who knows.)
