Wow! I remember making $5 for postage stamp townhouse yards when I was 12-13, then larger yards the size of an average neighborhood yard earned me $20-25. That was all back in the early/mid 80s.

10 years ago when we were in our previous home. We were paying a business $100 a month to mow/edge/blow. That's once a week. They would show up in the neighborhood with a truck and trailer and 3-4 guys would hit your yard and be done in no time. I timed them more than once and it generally took them 7 mins to do the whole thing. We lived in that home about 17 years, and I think we had a kid knock on the door to mow maybe 5 times the whole time we lived there.
