Yesterday we had all met at my wife's Grandmother's house and my Brother-in-law drove the Lincoln. My Sister-in-law was in the front passenger seat and there were 3 teens in the back seat and as we headed back home he went blowing by me on hwy 280 and it was cool to see that big ol boat floating along. I was driving our Lexus RX350 with my wife and 2 adult children and went cruising by the Lincoln doing about 80mph and led the whole way home. At a traffic light the Lincoln pulls up beside me, we were first at the light, and when the light turned green he nailed it, so I nail it, squeal the tires a little and blow by him. Funny, that big ol boat has a 460ci V8 in it and my Lexus V6 probably has more horsepower and pretty much dusted the Lincoln. Good times.
Bob, I totally forgot about getting pictures of the carburetor smog set up and will try to get some pictures in the next day or so.

Comparing the performance of any 1970s car to a modern car is just not fair. A modern car just does everything better. Safer, faster, more comfortable and every task possible. The average smart phone has way more computing power than a 1970s super computers.
