The Wife and I have enjoyed watching "Mountain Men" on History/ Discovery channel since it started.
One of our favorites is Tom Oar, an ex-Rodeo bronc rider turned trapper and outdoorsman who hand makes stuff that he sells at "Rendezvous" where people get together to dress like the old mountain men and throw hatchets and shoot black powder.
I scored a carry bag made of buckskin that was "brain tanned" by Tom and hand sewn and beaded by his Brother's Wife Connie Oar. The Wife will be surprised Christmas morning, mostly due to the fact that I didn't get her a vacuum cleaner!
