Nope, no worries on our food. Back in my bachelor days just after I bought my house, I had very little money. Buying a house at 12.50% interest as a single guy was a burden that I am glad I took on. I would go to the grocery store, and buy a cheap roast, and a couple 10 pound bags of potatoes, and several bags of carrots. Get out my cast iron dutch oven, and put the roast in there and fill it up with carrots and taters. I would eat very little of the meat, all he carrots and taters, then fill it back up with carrots and taters, and cook the roast again. I could get four rounds of vegies cooked with one roast over two weeks. Never had a problem except getting tired of the same meal over and over.
I was living on less than a dollar a day as a food budget. I saved up enough money to be able to fund some retirement savings and my biggest expense was girlfriends. Another expensive hobby!
