My advice is don’t look for a shortcut, there is none…
Pull the heads, pull the P/Cs, through bolts, flange nuts
Split the case.
Now there are 3 ORing seals, two on the pump and one between the case halves.
Experience tells me to aviation permatex the two on the oil pump because I have knocked them off on putting the second half on. BTDT
