Most people add the 3 % to asking .
Simple though only use FF if you know someone and still a risk due to shipping.
PP pretty much sucks but it’s is a necessary evil.
Had a guy buy a car from me that post said weak 2nd gear synchro. It was my first ever transaction and I asked “ how do you buy sight unseen” . He explained how he files claim for stuff as BS claim and gets $$ back. ….then pulled the same s___ on me.
Had to fight but got all my money.now I use PP connected to AX card as they will fight PP when PP won’t be responsive as well as remove money immediately on receipt plus connect bank account that only has minimal balance.
It s all protection and a PITA but needed with all the baloney.
Car business has always had a Wild West Jesse James syndrome…..Decent people seem able to rationalize misrepresentations as someone “got me”and I just need to get out from under a bad deal. The sight unscene scenario buying of the internet exacerbates the problem and you have to be more cautious….yet not miss the “deal”
