My first Z was a 74 with the flat top carbs. Back in '89 there wasn't the wealth of info that the internet offers so I had no clue that the earlier carbs would solve the vapor locking which was the problem with my car. Horrendous vapor locking any time the temps got above 75 degrees. The car was unreliable, had rusty floorpans, would strand you in a heartbeat and I loved it. Currently have a '71 and and a 73. 71 is getting restored in between jobs. Hopefully I'll get to the 73 as well before I kick the bucket.
