So I’m still trying to locate the gear that presses on to the crankshaft. The gear I need has 35 teeth, all the ones that I can find has 29 teeth which was used with the aluminum IMs gear. I’m starting to come to the belief that the steel gears can only be used as a match set like a ring and pinion. Has anyone ever put a motor together with a used IMs gear and a new crank gear, and was it successful? I have replaced similar style gears in transmissions and it was never an issue.
Also, how do I determinate if the case is “0” or “1” if I don’t have any of the original internals? Thanks
