I don't think any US/NA based entertainment would actually intentionally harm an animal. Maybe trained animals with some FX. Maybe good CGI. But I'm pretty confident that no animal has been shot or killed in a movie/show production in the US in the last 20 years. If there was, then I suspect it was an "accident" like in the Baldwin movie in the recent past.
