it was only a matter of time really. family tradition as both my pops and sister have each had both done over the years. genetic defect called a femoral impingement that causes the femur ball to grow out of round over the years that wears the cartilage til it's bone on bone. my left side in the x-rays still looks pretty good, the right is shot.

That sounds painful. Hopefully the new parts will restore full mobility. In the meantime you can be thankful for that cushy coil spring ride on your new JK !
