Since a Porsche CTC dealer is the only one able to verify numbers matching components our suggestion is that they send a technician to our location as we do not want the car driven. The technician will have his own stall and lift and can examine the Carrera to whatever extent is needed. Unfortunately, a continency based contract with post-sale CTC is not possible. To this end we have reached out to Redwood City Porsche to see if they are willing to accommodate this request; however, you can contact Monterey or any other Porsche CTC dealership if you would like.

Clarification – it is not that we are opposed to a contingency contract, it is that we do not want the vehicle to run the risk of any possible damage by driving, transporting or work being done at another dealership. Unfortunately, Redwood City Porsche is not a CTC dealership, as you are probably aware there are very few in the country let alone in this area with the exception of Monterey. Please feel free to reach out to Monterey to see if they will accommodate your request for a remote inspection."

I've requested PoM to do a remote inspection even though I know they won't agree to it. Bruce won't allow a stipulation in the purchase contract even though he 'guarantees' it to be numbers matching. They won't transport or drive the car to PoM for the CTC to close the sale. The car shows a reported theft that I'm being told was misreported by the previous owner on the Carfax.

Probably a pass on this one.
That is a "you're not the sucker we're looking for" statement.

Given that this is a company that will drive real 917s down the city street, the fact that they won't even let the car be transported says all you need to know about the numbers on that car. They don't want your money
