Whatever, different strokes for different folks. I do have my old 15 inch Fuchs in my attic. Not on display, and I only kept them because I know they are coveted, and I may want to go back to them for an autocross only tire.

I'm guessing he may not actually "collect" them. I'm guessing he's had them, had cars that they mounted on, etc..., and just hasn't gotten rid of them.
I could see if you were a car guy with enough money, and went through lots of cars and wheels over the years (maybe have a few cars and take them to the track, maybe have winter wheels, etc...) how you could end up with a bunch of sets of wheels.
I don't know that I want a collection, but I'd love to have a Fuchs, any Fuchs of any size, only one. It's iconic and something that I'd like to have. I would also like to have an old knock off wire wheel from a British roadster. And yeah, an old wide race wheel with a fan would be friggin cool. I could also see myself having one of a few others, they'd go great on the walls of a garage.
So, yeah, I guess I could see myself having a small collection of 5-10 wheels (just one, not sets).
