I think cars of yesteryear where more fun to drive. They weren't as good. You actually had to have some skill to drive them faster and slide them around. Todays cars are just too good with too many nanny assists. Case in point. I was driving my Cayman through some twisties, pretty quickly, didn't even get the tires squealing, not one loss of traction...it actually started to make me sick to my stomach from the G's. Maybe that's why I like the first generation FRS and BRZ so much. You could really ring them out without going crazy fast and they had just the right amount of slide and feel.
Bah, I'm getting old I guess.
