Hello All,
I have started another business with a friend who is an artist, we are reproducing his and other artist's work on Giclee' 200 year old museum quality paper and photo paper. I am focusing on car's , as my car looks incredible on my wall at 36" x 48". Our printer is an Epson 10,000 Series Archival Giclee' quality printer. 1440x2880 DPI. We can take your digital picture or scan, as long as there is 300 megs worth of info and print up to 40" x 50" posters that are photo quality and just awesome. This is museum quality art on 200 year paper or Kodak photo paper. That means the image will not fade or age, nor will the paper degenerate for 200 years. We did one of my 930 and one of my son, and they are awesome. Museum quality art. 6.1 megapixel or better and we can print it from typical poster size (36"x48") or custom (40" x 50"), or even do wallpaper for your bathroom. The paper is 42" wide and comes in 300 foot rolls, so the possibilities are endless!
WHAT IS A GICLEE?
Giclée is a French word meaning to spray. In this case it would be the spraying of ink. Invented in 1991, this new medium was met hesitantly at first, it soon became widely accepted and revered. The nozzles spray a fine stream of ink (more than four million droplets per second) onto archival art paper or canvas. A computer controls the printer, so exact calculations of hue, value and density control the nozzles. This can produce a combination of 512 chromatic changes equaling over 3 million colors. The giclées are printed with non-toxic, highly saturated, waterbased inks that are impervious to light, so they will not fade. At the highest apparent resolution available with today's technology, they have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs, and a color range exceeding that of serigraphy, capturing every subtlety of an original.
