Interesting information but what makes Snap-on sockets and wrenches so special is not just the quality of the steel but the precision of the tool; i.e. 10mm is really 10mm. I own a ton of different brands and for a lot of jobs, the lesser tools are, "close enough," but if you have a fastener that is really tight and maybe a little rounded from someone else trying to get it off and you only have *one shot* at it, the Snap-on or MAC or Hazet will really pay for itself.
