Neil's always been political. And I doubt if he has a single eff left to give to anyone who wants to call him out on it. I'd be willing to bet that those of you who have written him off because "he's too political" might have felt a little differently back when he got slammed by the liberal press because he went on record as a champion of some of Ronald Reagan's ideas. (But everyone here already knows about that, right?)

There's a lot of family farmers living in red states that have been given a helping hand with the money Neil and Willie have raised for farm aid, fighting against factory farms and massive chemical corporations who may or may not have the best interests of the consumers at heart. I doubt if Neil sees left and right when he's putting those shows together.

Bottom line, his music is popular and he has a microphone and he uses it to share his thoughts. I like how he speaks his mind and how his beliefs have evolved, and isn't worried if those ideas and thoughts don't necessarily line up with the thoughts of people on the left and the right.

Today he doesn't like what Joe Rogan is saying. Maybe tomorrow he won't like what Obama or Gavin Newsome is talking about, but he'll tell you what he thinks and he won't worry about what side the pushback is coming from.

And that's all you'll get from me on that. I hope this thread doesn't go to p.a.r.f.
