I don't know this as fact, but I believe when my stepdaughter got pregnant, my wife may have given him a "get your (poop) together" talk, as at the time he would work a job for 6 weeks to 3 months, then say "they don't respect me at work", quit, and sit at home until eventually taking another menial job. He's had his current job for at least a year and a half now, so maybe the talk worked? I know their marriage hasn't been as smooth as one could hope, and they do have a almost 2 year old daughter that we adore.
On the name front, we are Papa and Gigi, his mom and stepdad are grampa and gramma, and I don't remember what my wife's ex and his girlfriend are called, but they also have unique names.
