I have thought of this...if I bent a piece of metal, or plastic that is thin enough to bend a bit to match the curvature of the roof this could work. Although the downside is now I have two things to glue in place, but it could make the velcro serviceable as it sounds like I am never getting the 3M 5200 off the roof LOL.
